From THO

Charge:

• Determine technological standards appropriate to a variety of levels of participation in THO in the areas of:
  • Digitization of text, images, audio, and video.
  • Metadata creation and collection, including controlled vocabularies.
  • Storage and long-term preservation of files.
  • Interoperability for federated searching.
• Develop and maintain best practices for THO members in the above areas and additional areas such as intellectual property and legal issues, accessibility, and search engine optimization.
• Regularly evaluate progress of committee, identify improvements needed in committee processes and products, and adjust plans as needed.
